Features
Live or schedule-based display
Connect the board to Wi-Fi for real-time vehicle positions, or use it offline to replay schedule data from memory. A fast replay mode shows a full service day in about four minutes.
Automatic or manual brightness
An onboard light sensor can adjust the display for the room, or use the brightness button for manual control.
Shelf or wall friendly
The board runs from USB-C power supplied by a standard 5V phone or laptop charger you provide. Power inputs on two edges support shelf and wall placement.
Open hardware
The schematic is open source, and the onboard ESP32-C3 Mini module can be flashed with custom firmware.
Designed in Seattle
Decorated with a custom transit diagram and a hand-drawn schematic map of the region's coast.
Note about live data
The board comes ready to connect to the Seattle Transit Live data service for real-time vehicle positions and firmware updates. Access to this optional service is included in the board price.
Live updates depend on public transit-agency feeds and the continued operation of the Seattle Transit Live service. If live data is interrupted, Spring 2026 schedule-based display will continue to work for the life of the board.
