Seattle Transit Live

Preorder Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you place a preorder for a Seattle Transit Live map. Please read them before ordering.

Last updated June 24, 2026.

Payment and delivery

Preorders are charged at checkout.

The estimated delivery date is August to September 2026. Preorders are refundable until the main manufacturing batch is ordered. After that, the preorder helps fund production and is not generally refundable for manufacturing delays. If delivery is expected to slip beyond December 2026, Seattle Transit Live will offer preorder customers the option to keep the order or cancel for a refund.

What is included

The preorder includes the Seattle Transit Live map only. A USB-C power adapter, USB-C cable, stand, and wall-mounting hardware are not included.

Seattle Transit Live is designed for indoor use only and requires USB-C power from a standard 5V USB charger. A 2A or higher charger is recommended.

Support

To request support or ask about a preorder, contact michael@seattletransitlive.com.

If your board arrives damaged or defective, contact Seattle Transit Live within 14 days of delivery and Seattle Transit Live will arrange a replacement or refund.

The board is open-source hardware and is designed to be hackable. Customers may modify it, but hardware modifications, soldering, or custom firmware may limit Seattle Transit Live's ability to support it.

Live data

Seattle Transit Live connects to a web service operated by Seattle Transit Live to keep the board updated with current ferry and train activity. Seattle Transit Live plans to maintain this service for the foreseeable future.

Live updates depend on public data from transit agencies and on Seattle Transit Live's ability to continue operating the service. If those data sources change, become unavailable, or the service is interrupted, live updates may pause or stop.

The board is designed to keep working even without live data. Its built-in schedule mode will continue to display scheduled transit movement for the life of the board.

Independent project and data sources

Seattle Transit Live is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sound Transit, Washington State Ferries, King County Metro, Kitsap Transit, the Seattle Monorail, or any other transit agency.

Selected live data is provided under the Sound Transit Transit Data Terms of Use.

WSDOT data is provided subject to the WSDOT Travel Information Disclaimer.
